Valentine’s

Something about Valentines has always captured my heart, no pun intended. Maybe it is because ,I am a hopeless romantic… I cry at all the Hallmark comercials, and when I see perfect strangers saying hell-o or good-by at airports, I am just a big ole’ cry baby and you don’t want to sit by me at a boo hoo movie… anyway I think because the Christmas season is filled with such high expectations in every arena, family, the decor, the gift giving. the cooking… the list seems endless.. here comes Valentines, a sweet sort of quet little holiday, and memories of that dear custom of giving your school mates a little paper valentine..anyway I always make Valentine themed items for the store and for friends and I love to have parties at this time of year and yes I decorate for this little affair. I have a white feather tree, we have them in the shop, and I have bright pink hearts on it…   they look so sweet. I keep my feather trees up all year, for Easter they will have, eggs, bunnies, chicks.. that’s an easy call. But I am always stumped for Halloween , this year, I have a plan, Black Crows with tiny little crowns, a court of little princess crows… you all know I plan ahead, don’t you? Come see us at Houston Urban Market Feb. 8th… they have a website with directions. see you soon,I will not have black crows, but I will have Valentines.
