Our “Farm” at Marburger Farm

Our farm came to their farm… and what a great time we had! Our friends from Zapp Hall sent our customers down to see us, and new people found us, and we attracted the attention of Country Living Mag.. who does a show in Ohio… a place we have never been, we were asked to join this small show and I e-mailded Christine Le Fever our N.W. friend who hails from those parts and knows all things….. she gave us a big heads up to venture out to do this September show and I think we will.  My point is telling you all this is to once again remind us all what a small connected world we live in, friends helping friends and reaching out. Like minds finding a place with one another, it is really such a warm , sweet experience. Each time I hear from someone who saw us in a magazine or remembers our story, or shopped with us in some part of our lovely arena I am touched deeply, to be remembered, and cared for. Thank-you to all. Now about these photos… we took them with our new camera that Geff fixed for us… and our little Christie posted them.. I told her to make a disclaimed as our work with the camera is not up to her lovely work but we are making baby steps to learn how to get all this on  the blog….I would like to believe it is not that difficult to teach an old dog new tricks but it appears that it is… and I don’t like being an old dog either.

Our Marburger Show was a big success, we were so happy with our neighbors, the customers were great ,ready to buy, in spite of the huge winds that shook the tents till you were sure they would topple down, the rain and mud did not stop anyone. My sweet daughter bought me a cute pair of rubber boots that were bright aqua and lined in hot pink, it was a challenge to find an “outfit” to match but I did! To be next to Robin and John of Magonila Pearl was  heaven, watching the ladies become so excited with their garments was such good energy…. Ludmil’s aviary was the talk of the show and he has three clients discussing the purchase, this is good.. the doves coooed and laughed, as though on stage. We sold a pair of wedding kneeling chairs, very special pieces, and our great old European cart, our large standing cabinet painted pink inside. One of our dear friends saw a picture of it and spoke for it site unseen thru and e-mail , we will be bringing it when we go to the N.W, in Aug… see how that lovely thread of connection works once again. We missed seeing a few folks and hope to see everyone in the fall… it is time to regroup and reflect and REBUY!!!! Much Love , appreciation and gratitude , from the two of us!   (Ludmil in his usual fashion worked really hard  yesterday tearing down an old building not far from us ,hard physcial work, I on the other had did quiet simple things, he amazes me !)

Miss Maddie’s - My first visit here. The photos are lovely.
I especially like your ever changing header… the beautiful bird, the glittered banner (is that not a Karen of Amusements creation, I have one of Peace) and yes the well-loved dollies.
Perhaps we’ll get to meet when you come to Ohio, it is a wonderful show!

Polly - Do you love them now? I got contacts just before our trip to Marburger last Fall and I actually didn’t wear them when we were shopping because of all the blowing dust. You’re way tougher than me. I can’t believe it was crooked all that time!

I love contacts so much more than glasses. However, my eyes don’t adjust well for reading so I think I need to upgrade to those new self-adjusting ones.

Well, hopefully, we’ll SEE each other at the Fall show :) Blessings.. Polly

Forget menots - Loved your shop in Buxton Oregon. Purchased angel wings, small pink Christmas tree, and a great snowman with lots of sparkle.YOU had a nice gentleman named Pete I believe, helped me with my packages to my van.It was a great tiny little (town)You also had 24inch black and pink Tole pillows, sitting on a pink iron garden table and chairs. That was in the Spring ,LOVED IT ALL. Still have everything I ever bought from there. Drove 5 hrs. to get there and it was well worth the drive. I feel both of you will have great success in your new adventure. Joan Elkins Forgetmenots
