Willow Nest : Burton,TX bio picture

Welcome to Willow Nest!

Ludmil and I met and married 15years ago, little did either of us realize then what true soul mates we are. Or maybe a better description would be that we are the best of work mates.

It has often been said "do what you love and the money will come" or from the Field of Dreams "build it and they will come".  Indeed, that has been the case for us. We wake everyday with not enough day to complete all our tasks.

The name originated from our fist home together in Oregon, which had a willow tree, was on a little piece of land, with a tiny barn, a farm.... and we are Nester's unequivocally!.....Willow Nest Farm was birthed!

Pay Backs are H—!!!!

Last summer was our first in Texas, little did I know that it was also one of the mildest summers in Texas for a very long time…. so the wicked witch of the west, part of me.. e-mailed or forwarded all the weather reports to all my friends in the N.W. who were experiencing one of the wettest , coolest cloudy summers on record… I gloated, I giggled, I was so smug… “it’s lovely here….. the nights so balmy and the mornings aahh…I sit out at 7a.m. on the deck and have my coffee… in a tee shirt.. oh you say the wind is blowing and it’’s going to rain again today.. to BAD!!! I’m lovin’ it here.” WELL…. one simple summer later, and TEXAS, has turned on me… we are having one of the HOTTEST summers in 30 years…. I some how feel slightly responsible for all this nasty heat wave, if only I had been nicer, and simply appreciative.. and just enjoyed the past summer, just maybe things would be cooler.. but I must say I sure did get a kick out of sending all those reports to my sweet friends..

I do have some important news.. all that silly talk aside.. Ludmil and I are going to be showing our wares at Canton First Monday, this weekend, we will be set up in the Civic Center..where it is COOL…. we have a big van load ready to leave at 5;30 in the morning. It was already 82degrees at 5;30 this a.m. when I thought I would beat the heat and get things loaded early…. ha ha ha ha , as I said paybacks are H—!!!! Come see us.. and bring me a glass of SWEET TEA.. or as my friend Heidi calls it Iced glucose…
