Sizzlin’ Summer Shows…..oh my!

Dear Friends, The photos that Christie just posted are some of the sweet things we are taking to the Red Barn Show, here in Round Top TX. so many of your very favorite people show at this show, you will want to come early so you don’t miss a thing.

The very first thing I want to do is to thank all the people who came out to our Summer Celebration here in Burton, we were so amazed at how many people came, and stopped in all our little town’s stores, and took home some very special things. The BIG BOUNTIFUL BURTON BASKET, was won by a lady from Dime Box,TX. a small neighboring town… it had a total of over $600. worth of gifts, so we all know she will be happy with her winnings.

Many of Ludmil’s pieces were purchased by a very special lady we love working with in Round Top, and we are very grateful, for all the folks who supported us.. we do appreciate all the goodness that comes our way!

Let me tell you a little bit about the photos.. I have created a group of Milagros’s, with a little different twist than usual, I have about 20 completed, hands, crosses, all with glitter, old Bulgarian paper, and vintage embellishments… if there is anything you see that you like just leave me a comment and I will get right back to you… I am showing some small “boxed art” is what I call it, there are several with a bridal theme and one vintage celouid baby girl with wings,a group of vintage crepe paper and glitter medallions, with #’s and some with old images, a crown, a bee, a little girl face from old children’s books, and I have some blue, and chartreuse glitter eggs as well…. some fine pieces of cement, and old mirrors, some french linen nite dresses…. we have 15 pieces of furniture to bring, Ludmil is loading in this awful heat as I write this… we like to load for several days so we get everything in that we need….it’s so easy to leave something out and we don’t want to leave any of our treasures behind. We have some really exceptional things this time, sometimes it simply comes together in a perfect way, now if I could only get my computer to function the same way, actually the computer is NOT the problem….. (you all know it’s me) I mean how many people have two people doing one post on their blogs… just me so far, you all are so ahead of me.. I have a new enemy it’s name is “Microsoft Vista” everyone has been so kind to me and said that is the real problem… even the person I had as a tutor.. I am looking for another tutor… soon! Enough boohooing….. I will get it together…NOW back to the news at the moment…

Pack up your ice chest, bring a hand fan, a wet cloth around your neck and come see all the great things at the Red Barn, there are so many great!!!! vendors there. We are so happy to be a part of this great show…

The very next week you can find us at the Canton Civic Center…. we will be there for first Monday…. Please know that Ludmil and I both appreciate all the sweet support we have been given here in the heart of Texas…

Debbie York - I wish I could come, but we have been on the road so much here lately that we are going to try and stay close to home.
I have Microsoft Vista as well. It takes some getting use to, but once you get it you got it. It’s just hard for someone else to explain how to do things on it. I just play around until I make it work for me and girl, I am so computer illiterate it isn’t even funny!
Try and stay cool. Keep Ludmil hydrated loading in this heat!
Debbie

Joy Bayer - Hi Linda,
Looking forward to seeing you in Oregon this summer. I wish we were coming to Texas to go to all the shows you will be at and to stay in your lovely cottage. Lulu shared with me what a wonderful time she had and I was so envious! You are “singing to the choir” as they say about the computer biz… what a hassle, but I’m afraid we have to figure it out…I just takes so much time!! Hang in there you are amazing and I have no doubt that you will soon be the most savvy of all the computer gurus!
JOY!
P.S. Is it any hotter than the time we did Deepwood and about fainted from the heat??
