So sorry you have not had time to do all the things you normally do at Christmas, especially the paperwhites! I do them too, and have found the absolute best paperwhite bulb this year. It is called "Ariel" and can be purchased from www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com. Try it next year--the flowers and stems are strong and stay upright without tying them and they last for a couple of weeks! Anyway--loved the story about the redheaded boys! Bless you!
