Ludmil and I met and married 15years ago, little did either of us realize then what true soul mates we are. Or maybe a better description would be that we are the best of work mates.
It has often been said "do what you love and the money will come" or from the Field of Dreams "build it and they will come". Indeed, that has been the case for us. We wake everyday with not enough day to complete all our tasks.
The name originated from our fist home together in Oregon, which had a willow tree, was on a little piece of land, with a tiny barn, a farm.... and we are Nester's unequivocally!.....Willow Nest Farm was birthed!
Yesterday I had the opportunity to go and spend time with Linda and Ludmil. I first met Linda at their home in Burton. It’s always a pleasure to see how she has it “this time”. As a creative, I can relate to wanting change, even if it is just switching the furniture around. I mean, who wants to be complacent?! So there it was and what a sight to see! So welcoming and warm, everything in one place, crisp and clean but still that lived in feel. Of course, if you’ve ever had the opportunity to meet Linda and Ludmil, no matter where you are, it’s always a welcome and warm place to be.
After photographing their home, we headed out to Marburger Farm. I’d never been and was anxious to see what fantastic creations Willow Nest had put together this year. If you’ll remember, it was last year that I met Linda and Ludmil and began photographing for them. Their place at Marburger is simply…well, there are a hundred adjectives I could say to describe their place, among them: magical, romantical, inviting, and more…Enough of me talking…take a look for yourselves!
